In-Spire
“Inspiration” comes from the Latin words meaning to “breathe in.” With every breath you take, you will find ideas for blogging—the mind is always thinking. Just look around you. Make a list of everything you see. Stop at ten. Then do some brainstorming. For each of the ten words you wrote, write five that are somehow related. If, amid all these words, you still don’t have any ideas for a blog, then take each of the ten words—one at a time—and do a Google search for them. Write down an additional five words for each. Among all these concepts, you should find inspiration. If not, you may need to relax your brain cells for a while and then start the cerebral-jumpstart all over again.

How Vertical Blogger Can Help Agencies
Vertical Blogger was created with the aim of helping agencies to get better online exposure while providing bloggers with a platform to make money while having editorial control.
Agencies who are working to promote their clients online will understand the value in having link-building opportunities. However, many bloggers object to having restrictions placed on them as to what they write about - there are also questions about ethics so by allowing blogger to have control it keeps the process clean.
Vertical Blogger allows you to add advertisers to your account so you can keep track of multiple clients. For each advertiser you can create campaigns. Each campaign allows you to pick bloggers and sectors. For example, if I were an agency with a travel company as a client, I would create a campaign with the sector “travel”. I can then see all the bloggers registered within that category then pick ones to write my articles.
As an added benefit, Vertical Blogger also allows you to target different languages! So I can create a campaign in Spanish and choose blogs written in Spanish for my campaign. These bloggers will be able to target your keywords within their blogs!
We are going to write more later about the multi-lingual benefits of Vertical Blogger, but if you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to Contact Us.
Adding More Blogs to Your Campaign - New Functionality
We have just added some new functionality based on our customer recommendations:
As an agency, when you create a campaign, you now have the functionality to add additional blogs to your campaign once it has been put live.
We had a few agencies only pick a handful of bloggers, but later found out that the bloggers selected were not interested in the subject. They then had to wait until the end of the campaign to get refunded and start again. That wouldn’t do!
So we decided to add the functionality allowing agencies to add additional blogs while the campaign is live. This way, agencies who are interested in picking a handful of bloggers can make sure that their campaigns will be completed.
The agency can do this process as often as they require. This makes the process better for both bloggers and agencies!

Your Good-Blogging Tips
We often get asked what makes a good article – there are a few things, which you should always check before submitting an article to your blog. Content is the most obvious factor to consider, but syntax, structure and grammar play a vital role, too!
Syntax covers the meaning of words – does everything that you have just written make sense? Sometimes it helps to take an hour out then come back to review your post. If you have written your post in one sitting the flow may be good, but you might have repeated things or not covered everything you wanted to. Conversely, if you wrote it over several sessions it may be hard for the reader follow your chain of thought and what your point is.
Linked to the previous point is the structure of your article. You should make a clear structure before you begin your article – even just a taster in the intro paragraph will do. In this post you’ll see I mentioned syntax, structure and grammar: each of the paragraphs in this article follow that structure. Always conclude your post with a short paragraph summarising the article and your conclusion. Don’t think that you must always write a 5-paragraph post – this will become monotonous for your readers. Mix it up but keep it clean.
Finally once you have finished your article and just before you press the “submit” button, check your grammar! Most text editing tools (like Word and Pages) have advanced grammar-checking options, so make the most of them. It’s also great to get a friend to read over your posts now and again to check your style and if you make consistent grammar mistakes.
There is no special formula to creating a great blog – it can be tiring and hard work to keep a constant check on the technical aspects of writing, but you will get better and quicker at it. Everything takes practise after all! Take a little time out now and again to read and re-read your posts (especially before you put them live). Check your grammar, structure and syntax as a basis for all your articles.
Happy blogging!
It’s Now Even Easier to Make Money through Your Blog!
Vertical Blogger gives you the opportunity to earn money through your blog which doesn’t clutter your posts and gives you editorial control.
The new redesign makes Vertical Blogger much easier to use and, more importantly, to understand what you need to do. You can easily make between £10-£20 per article you post in your blog. So how does the whole system work and who is benefitting from it?
When you create your Vertical Blogger account, you will firstly be asked for your blog URL and your sector. By choosing the sector that matches your blog the best, you will only get asked to write articles on that specific topic – many users (as well as the advertisers) much prefer to pick quite a specific sector to keep their blog consistent for their readers. Advertisers who have already signed up for the service then ask you to create an article using the keywords they have selected. Once you have written the article, you paste it into the keyword generator that then gives you the content to publish into your blog. The advertiser then gets to check that the links in the article work and that your article has met the minimum criteria.
The advertisers benefit from having links about their services/products in your blog, thus increasing brand exposure and online presence, and you will get paid fairly for your article. Vertical Blogger stipulates the minimum price per category, so you can be assured that you are getting paid fairly and the same as the other bloggers.
What sets my blog apart from the others? Every website that Google catalogues is given a “Google Rank”. Vertical Blogger takes this, as well as the Alexa Rank, and lets the advertisers pick bloggers to write articles for them. This helps advertisers to know how popular your blog is and how much brand exposure they can expect.
The most important feature for bloggers when using Vertical Blogger is the fact that they have editorial control. The advertiser only has to stipulate the keywords and topic, but the blogger can create their own title and how they wish to write about the subject at hand. It doesn’t impose drastically on your blog as more advertisers only ask for 2 links.
It’s a fantastic way to make a few extra pennies and helps you to broaden your writing skills. What’s more – payment is automated every month so you don’t have to wait until you make a certain amount of money to withdraw funds.
